Add a payment method

Add a card or bank account to your account so you can pay invoices faster and enable autopay. Payment information is handled securely through Stripe.

Before you start

Have your card or bank account information ready. You can add a payment method at any time, even if you do not have an outstanding invoice.

Add a payment method from Billing

  1. Sign in to the customer portal.

  2. Click the Billing tab.

  3. Find the Payment method card.

  4. If no payment method exists yet, the card shows No payment method on file. Add a card or bank account to make payments easier. Click Add payment method.

On the Add payment method page

  1. The page title reads Add payment method.

  2. The modal asks How would you like to pay?

  3. Select Credit Card or US Bank Account.

  4. Enter your payment details in the Stripe form.

  5. Click Save payment method.

  6. While saving, the button changes to Saving...

After it is saved

If the card is saved successfully, the page shows Payment method saved successfully. Redirecting... and returns you to Billing. If something goes wrong, the page shows An error occurred while saving your payment method. in red.

ACH microdeposits

If you add a US Bank Account, the portal may display an ACH-specific message: Bank account added. In the next 1–2 business days, look for a $0.01 deposit from Stripe... Follow the instructions to verify the account.

Update, replace, or remove a method later

Return to the Billing tab and open the Payment method card. The actions available are Update card, Replace, and Remove. Replacing a method takes you to a page titled Update card or Replace bank account with a notice beginning Replacing: and instructions to enter your new details.

If the setup link is invalid, the page shows Invalid setup link. Please go back and try again. Use the Back to billing button to return.
